1001 Tales of THE-KEK™

Khazin finally turns 3 yesterday.

Oh, Boy, he truly loves all the attention he got whole day long. Since morning he forced me to sing his birthday song practically from our house to Bangsar. When he reached his school, his teachers had been giving him many well wishes so he truly feel special i believe.

He got 1 big spiderman cake baked by Anna as usual from Bake-freshly.blogspot.com . It was supposed to be a Cars Theme but towards last minute, he keep on telling his teachers his cake later will be spidermen, so I have to get Anna to change to Spiderman. Got Dear Azalea team to do his cotton candy but i it was in Cars theme. But well, that is all jolly good. And he truly overjoyed when his classmates sang the birthday song and terkepot2 malu at times.

 


In the evening, we had a small one at home. With another cake from Anna, with Toy Story theme. My in laws came with Saba mendi rice and its perfect dinner mode. Bujin was too happy sampai relunctant nak pegi meja makan to see his packets of gifts. Candle blowing pun on the sofa aja. Too distracted with his Ben10 shirts and cars figures and all.

Overall, he is happy I know he is. He was all smiling all day long.

Since we already in Singapore, we decided to give a GO for USS this time. When we were in the same city 2 years ago, people was saying to KIV on it as many things still on constructions and etc.

I believe we have made the right choice. We drove from orchard to Sentosa. If u r on GPS, it will lead u to the car park and you will lose your signal here. Just follow the sign and park on the USS car park. Upon climbing up via the escalator, you will saw the infamous Globe right in front of your face.

When we reached USS, its raining. Damn. Bought a poncho for the kids at SGD1 and put it on just for the purpose to cross from its market Hollywood st. to its Hollywood Area. Just in time for 1045am show. The Lightc Camera Action by Steven Spielberg show. The kids were tad bit scared but it was awesome. Its different than the movie world in Gold Coast, anyhow it is still awesome. the moment we are out from the show its all sunny again. Then the whole walk continue. We just walked around pass the Sci-Fi city, went to the Lost World, Juraasic Park and etc. The aim to stop for Lunch in Madagascar and really hope can took pics with its character. Efi really wants to catch up on Madagascar so its WAJIB for us.









 Then we went to catch the Shrek 4D in Far Far Away Land. The show is the same mcm kat Movie World in GC. When we went to GC efi kecik lagi, and I stayed on the stalled chair while his on my lap, this time, dengan Bujin duduk on the chair so dptlah rasa 4D tuh in real. They love it time the water time, the moving chair and etc.


We had few rides, mostly waiting time around 10-15 minutes which is surprisingly ok on a weekend. We got on most of it except for the roller coaster. Akak dah pencen u ols. Food time was in Madagascar cafe. It serve Indo/padang style food and halal. Sedap ok. Roast chicken set tuh sedap giller. Just nice after the lunch, its show time in Madagascar land, and we got the chance to take photo. Panas ya ampun. Efi was all happy and jumping around. tercapai hasrat dia, terus ajak balik boleh? hahahahah


We then just continue walking, Bujin dah selamat tido dr time lunch lagi. Cari rides lagi and etc. Then shopping barang2 wajib di souvenir shop and etc. This time, panas nyer dah tak hingat yg amat. We went out from USS close to 5, layan garett and Bujin buat drama, melalak plak dlm tuh. Then just stroll around Resort World, on off we went back to the hotel.




Fun Facts:-
- Get the Map and plan your route. Roller coaster waiting time is longer about 25-30mins.
- Bring lots of plain water instead of buying on your own inside the resort. Its worth it.
- Tix on weekend is more expensive then weekdays by SGD10/person rasanya. If u do not want to que, u can buy express tix for SGD20+ Per person on top of the usual entrance fee
- Restrooms and prayer area are readily available
- Halal food plenty
- No inspections of bags at all
- You can go in/out easily from USS to outside by getting a chop on your hands.
- Driving from town tak jauh mana pun, kindly accessible.
- Parking SGD26(for our case dr 10-530pm) make sure ada duit cukup dlm ERP Card tuh.
- There's 2-3 rides still on going construction but mostly dah settle, kire perfect timing to go.

Sampai hotel, just freshen up and it was Dinner time in ZamZam restaurant. Yummeh murtabak and beriani.


And thats conclude our Sg trip.

Procrastinating and this is the result.

I am now waiting to board my 7am flight to KT and taking the 9+pm flight coming back to KL again tonight. Travelling sans hubs n kids.

If not because someone very dear and close and cum like families to us is getting married, we will not make it for this Sg trip. Work is just too taxing and my leave almost get cancelled off due to it, but hotel has been booked, USS tix has been paid, I'd kill the excitement if it were not to happened. After much deliberation, leave approved and hubs still need to be in the office that Friday morning.

Well, we only make our way in the afternoon, 230pm to be precise. And the whole journey was accompanied by the heavy downpour and not forgetting excessive tweets and fbing as the Japan Earthquake took place. My bro and dad were in japan remember. But thank god they're safe. Nagoya was like in Batu Pahat and the quake took place somehow like in Kota Bharu. So kire macam jauh but still it is not an easy reason to remain calm.

We reached lion city , checked in to Orchard Hotel and just had dinner at one of the nearby food court. Too tired to stroll along, just pusing2 tepi hotel and settle for bed early.

 The next day, its the WEDDING. It was marvellous. GPS not working in d first place, after about 15 minutes of driving with no direction, we just parked in front of the Esplanade and suddenly Mr Garmin started to talk. And off we went to Marine Terrace. I am so happy seeing its finally happening. Ika and Mahmood, no words can describe the happiness of seeing Ika finally settling down even with so many dramas and etc, but i still feels its worth it.

We stayed behind for close to 3 hours and oh boy the spread of food was simply marvellous. Nothing can beat these Arab wedding for its pure authentic arabic spread. The mendi, lamb(even i am not lamb eater, it did tastes nice), the home made lopis, everything was super nice. And its good that we finally put the faces to the name I am familiar with its story hey, I knew Ika back in our blogging days in 2000 and for the past decade we had so many circles of dramas, tears and happy moments.

After the wedding, went back to the hotel and its time to hit the Orchard Rd. Walked from one end to another, one shops to another. But no damage done. Only lil bit Mothercare pitstop and bought few things yang dipesan org. Walked from 2pm till 930pm. Giller. Stop for tea at McD and we had dinner at Meatworks, Ion Orchard. It's halal certified outlet and I am proud to see it.

Back at the hotel close to 10, serious pancit. And the kids over excited upon knowing they're visiting USS tmrw. And we shall be back with USS Story later.
